Spring Fling Challenge

Here is the card I made for Papertrey Ink spring fling challenge. I chose Laurens picture, but I chose to use the little girl to the left as my inspiration. She just stuck out to me in the picture. I used polka dot basics to stamp the polka dots and the bitty dot paper for the bottom. I also stamped the polka dots on white ribbon to simulate the front of the hat and tissue paper for the flower. I did not have yellow tissue paper so I just took my ink pad and rubbed it all over some white tissue paper. I think it turned out pretty well. I decided I have to take all of my pics outside because they turn out so much better. I think I am going to have to take some photography classes. Have a great Sunday all!!!

Oops!!!

I missed the deadline for Kristina's color challenge # 50:( I wanted to post the card I made though because I loved how it turned out. I got the idea from Paper crafts Magazine , but I couldn't quite come up with an idea to put all the colors on one card. Then it hit me RIBBON! I sewed on the ribbon to the lions mane, ran the body through my swiss dots cuttlebug folder and this is what I got!

Color Inspiration #49

I was over checking out Kristina Werners blog and decided to participate in her fab color challenge. I just found out about them when I saw it on Dawns blog and checked it out. I am totally loving these color challenges they are so fun!! Here are the two cards I created. I got my inspiration for the Hello sunshine from Dawns blog. I think I just might be a blog junkie lol!Anywho these were great colors to work with! I made like three other cards with these colors!! I need a color challenge like every day! As you can see I use exclimation marks alot, I am always just so excited when I am creating stuff I cant help but use them.

Color Challenge #2

I am having so much fun with Dawns color challenges. I get so excited when she posts one I can hardly wait to get creating. I Made three this time. I have been wanting to make a Caterpillar card for a long time. My friend Kim sent me one she made like a year ago and I was in love, but she used cm dots punch and I did not have one. Last week I was at M's and they had a new border one and I thought it would work perfectly. So I took a strip of spring moss card stock from PTI and punched one side and then punched the other side and cut the circles with my nesties and I am loving it!!! All of the card stock I used is from PTI. I just started purchasing from this company and I am loving everything!!!!!!! If you have not purchased from them, You must!!!! Anywhoo I am having fun with blogging even though I feel like I am talking to myself when I write this. I think of how corny I sound!!!! I will get over it though(hopefully soon) Toodles!!

fun colors

Wow what a beautiful weekend it was here. Sun was shining birds were chirping. I am so excited that spring is here. I did spend some time indoors to create some fun cards. I did dawns color challenge and can I say I am so excited that she is doing them. I am always in love with her color combos. Here are a few cards I made. I love how they turned out. Now I have to decide who to give them too. Am I the only one who likes to keep their creations? I feel sad sometimes to let them go. I used Dawns Damask designs to create both cards and some PTI paper I bought last month.

RAK card

This card was created for a little boy who is battling with cancer. I found out about it through Lauren Meaders blog http://laurenm.blogs.splitcoaststampers.com/ that I am totally addicted to. I like check it daily to see what fab things she has created and it seems to get my creative juices flowing.This is a new digi image from TGF that I totally love. I was dying to color him and I couldn't think of a better person to send him to than Ethan. I do not know Ethan or his mother Alicia, but I am a mother and I know how hard it must be for them both. I spent a lot of my child hood in the hospital because I have transposition of the great vessels . So I can relate with Ethan as well as his mother.My prayers go out to both of them!

I created another card for TGF with my miss Anyas. I Love how this one turned out too. I am so addicted to bling it is crazy. I am back on the pink kick. I put some purple in her hair because I think every girl has to have a little spice with her sugar.

Howdy-about me

OK, so this whole blogging thing is so new to me. I read blogs daily but I was way too afraid to start my own. Well I got over my fear and here I go. I suppose I will fill you in a little bit on who exactly I am.

I love to create!!!! I am a hairdresser part time and truly love my job. I am a full time mother and wife. I have been married for 11 wonderful years. My son is 9 yrs old and I feel he is my greatest gift from god. I am a christian and believe nothing is possible without god! I love to create!!!! I don't care if it is hair, makeup, paper, clay , wood, ect. .... I just love to create things! I someday would love to be on a stamping design team, but I have to get this blogging thing down first. So any tips would be greatly appreciated.

My birthday was yesterday and I turned 32. Age doesn't really bother me, but getting older does!

So this weekend I was very creative and made a whole bunch of cards. I created this one for the club Anya contest. I love tgf !! Their images are adorable and just my style. I used the miss Anya for this one and some old paper from my stash. I love how it turned out! Normally I always use pink, but I saw her and thought of red white and blue. No card is complete without some bling!
